Michael S Quinn, 69 passed unexpectedly on July 18, 2019.

Michael was born in Pawtucket and lived in Rumford for 31 years. Michael grew up in Cumberland the son of John and Margaret (Leach) Quinn and loving brother of Sharon (Quinn) Soares, who proceeded him in death. Michael leaves behind his wife of 33 years Robin (Jamieson) Quinn of Rumford. He leaves behind his son Justin and his wife Toni and grandchildren Hailee and Danny. Stepdaughter Lee Dennis and her husband Eric and grandchildren Camisha, Dimea, Leerica and Eric. And his niece Kerry Quinn and her partner Gary Santos. Nephew Christopher Baldaia. And his loves.. his dogs Brady and Moose .

Michael completed a year on the RI and National High Honor Society at Bryant College in accounting before realizing his true love was drumming. Michael “Squeaky” Quinn was known through out RI and New England for his outstanding powerful drum playing in the late 60’s and 70’s playing for bands Johnny and The Continentals, The Banshees, Flesh and The Ken Lyon and Tombstone Band, in which he toured with bands Queen and Mott the Hoople. They had a hit single Sing Song City in 1974 and successful album. Recently Tombstone was inducted into the RI Music Hall of Fame.

Michael also worked for many years as the Purchasing Manager at Schoolhouse Candy in Pawtucket before retirement.

Michael was a loving soul with a huge heart.. he loved his family and was always the comedian amongst the group. He also loved camping with his son and sitting around with family reminiscing about the good times. He will be deeply missed.

I have always been proud to consider Mike a friend. I loved his music as he did my art. My #1 Michael memory is he drove my brother Frank and myself to my first concert (Cream) ever in 68. My condolences to his entire family and his wife Robin. RIP my friend!
