With sad hearts, we announce the death of Sean Aaron Walsh, age 54 and just one day shy of his birthday.

Sean was born in Providence, Rhode Island on June 29, 1965.

Sean is a 1983 graduate of Portsmouth High School and worked hard in the summers from the age of 10 years old with his father and brothers on their commercial lobster boat.
After graduation, commercial lobster fishing became his full time career with the family business. In his later years, Sean became the captain of the “Elizabeth” fondly named after his mother. Sean was also an accomplished painter for many years.

Sean is preceded in death by his father Robert Walsh. He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Watts of Newcastle, CA, his daughters Sierra and Savannah and their mother, Connie Jepson-Walsh of Porstmouth, R.I.;

sister Kimberly Farasyn of Crooked River Ranch, OR; brother Garritt Walsh and wife Samantha of Loomis, CA and brother Stuart Walsh of Portsmouth, R.I. and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date when social gathering restrictions due to the pandemic are lifted.

The ability to make others laugh was Sean's gift. I will always remember the dinners, laughing in the kitchen as unbelievable meals were created and a night of stories and laughter was had.

My heart is broken 💔
I had not seen or talked to Sean for many years. Life has a funny way of changing direction so although we were good friends since middle school, we grew apart as many do after they grow to adults and start families, etc. I always hesitated joining Facebook, I really had no interest but it became necessary when my daughter was out of the country, as it was the only way to stay in touch. About a year after I joined, Sean and I reconnected on FB and our friendship was instantly as close as though no time had passed. We talked often through messenger, then by text and phone. Our conversations often went on for over an hour and only ending because he had a doctor's appointment or because I had to go to work. It was easy to lose time because our conversations were never boring with his quick wit and vast knowledge of so many things. I will miss my friend dearly and only regret that we never had the chance to see other in person before Covid-19 prevented it.
I will miss his jokes and his conspiracy theories, he made me laugh and think. He spoke of his girls all the time and loved them beyond words. He was a brave soulful man of many depths and fought hard to stay here on earth for his family but I know he is finally at peace and will be watching over them and the rest of us for all eternity because he wouldn't have it any other way. Rest easy my friend until we meet again. My deepest condolences to his family and his friends that knew him as I did.
